Masters 2021 odds, predictions and picks

Check out the odds, predictions and picks for the 2021 Masters at Augusta National Golf Club.

Just five months after Dustin Johnson‘s victory in mid-November, the Masters Tournament returns to Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, for the first of four majors scheduled to be played in 2021. Below, we look at the 2021 Masters odds and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions to win.

Johnson returns to defend his green jacket from the fall as the betting favorite. He has remained No. 1 in the Golfweek/Sagarin world ranking despite largely unimpressive results on the PGA Tour to begin 2021.

Tiger Woods isn’t participating this week after undergoing surgeries following a car accident in late February.

Brooks Koepka (+2500)

We’re getting an excellent price on Koepka after he underwent knee surgery in mid-March. The four-time major champ was +1200 by the futures odds for the 2021 Masters after winning the Waste Management Phoenix Open in early February.

Koepka tied for second in the 2019 Masters and for seventh in November. His 2.14 strokes gained per round at Augusta National rank 10th in this field, as he tries to move within an Open Championship victory of the career grand slam. He has been excellent with the flat stick this season with an average of 0.84 Strokes Gained: Putting per round, and he’s gaining 1.40 strokes from tee-to-green per round.

Trust he planned for enough recovery time after surgery and capitalize on the inflated odds for the recent world No. 1.

Koepka on Masters: ”I feel I can win’

New to sports betting? A $100 bet on Koepka to win the Masters would return a profit of $2,500 with a green jacket.

Sergio Garcia (+5000)

One of the more surprising stats early in the 2020-21 PGA Tour season, Garcia, 41, ranks second among qualified golfers on Tour in SG: Off-the-Tee per round at an average of 0.99.

The 2017 Masters champ missed the cut in both 2018 and 2019 and had to withdraw in the fall following a positive COVID-19 test. He enters the 2021 tournament in excellent form and with an appealing number.

He won the Sanderson Farms Championship in the fall and more recently tied for ninth at The Players Championship. The price is right for Garcia, as his 52 rounds of experience at ANGC rank sixth among possible contenders in this field.

Long shot

Mackenzie Hughes (+25000)

Hughes makes his first Masters appearance since a missed cut in his 2017 debut. He enters the week at No. 50 in the OWGR and shouldn’t be priced among amateurs and past champions.

He’s third on Tour this season in 3-putt avoidance and T-29 in par 5 scoring average. He’d be one of the biggest long shots to ever win the Masters, but he had seven top-10 finishes in 22 events in 2020 and showed he can compete against strong fields at difficult golf courses.
