Marvel’s Midnight Suns now has a free trial on consoles

PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners can try the critically acclaimed tactics game out at no extra charge.

If you’re still on the fence about Marvel’s Midnight Suns, there’s now a free trial! On specific platforms, at least.

On Friday, Take-Two announced a free trial of Marvel’s Midnight Suns for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Keep in mind that it’s a timed demo, and the limit varies by platform.

Anyone with an Xbox Series X|S can access a three-hour trial, while PS5 owners only get two hours for whatever reason. Furthermore, a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription is necessary to access the trial on PS5. Any progress or in-game purchases made with the trial carries over to the full release should you buy it, thankfully.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a tactical RPG that initially came out in December 2022 to a very warm critical reception, garnering an impressive 83 Metascore on reviews aggregate Metacritic. It’s from Firaxis Games, the game studio that brought us XCOM: Enemy Unknown and  XCOM 2.

Quite a number of Marvel video games are in development right now. EA is working on three, one of which is an Iron Man game from Motive Studio – the team behind this year’s excellent Dead Space remake. Of course, the big one is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 by Insomniac Games, which is probably coming out this fall.
