Mark Williams on being drafted by the Hornets: ‘They won’t regret it’

The former Duke Blue Devil is excited to play with the Hornets.

Mark Williams won’t have to go far from Duke after being drafted by the Charlotte Hornets with the No. 15 pick.

The Hornets got their big man of the future in Williams to play alongside the likes of LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges.

Williams spoke to the media about his excitement to play with LaMelo and how he feels his game will fit with the Hornets.

“I think I fit really well with them, just with the way I play. I think all the things I bring to the table will be really helpful. They won’t regret it.”

Williams brings a high motor on both ends to the Hornets, who can immediately be an elite rim-runner alongside LaMelo Ball while feeding on the glass and blocking shots with his 7-foot-7 wingspan.
