It’s been a busy few days for Marcus Freeman as he’s gotten busy getting to know some of the best athletes to ever call Notre Dame home.

Earlier in the week we shared Jerome Bettis’s message to the football team, someone Freeman has certainly seen since Bettis has re-enrolled at the University to finish his degree.

This weekend saw Freeman meet a pair of more recent Notre Dame stars who have both gone onto professional careers in their respective sports.

Friday night saw former Notre Dame All-American cornerback Julian Love of the New York Giants back on campus as he and Freeman shared a handshake and photo opportunity at Friday’s hockey game vs. Michigan.

At Sunday’s women’s basketball game that went horribly against Louisville, there was one bright spot however as Freeman was able to meet one of the best to ever do it at Notre Dame, Skylar Diggins-Smith.

We can argue who really is the GOAT in terms of Notre Dame women’s basketball (it’s Arike Ogunbowale) but Diggins-Smith has as good of case as just about anyone for that second spot.

Also, shoutout to the man just to the right of Diggins-Smith for his epic photobomb.
