Making Grades: Oregon shows tremendous prowess in defeating Washington

The Ducks should be happy with this report card. They got the job done on the field and avoided embarrassing themselves off of it.

COACHING

Grade: A+

We usually don’t grade out the coaching, but considering the shenanigans that occurred throughout game week and then during the contest, it would be negligent not to say something of how Mario Cristobal handled rivalry week compared to his counterpart.

Cristobal let his team do the talking with their play on the field. He could have let the controversial comments about academic prowess be a distraction, but instead, the Ducks’ focus on the game itself never wavered. Those comments were used as motivation, not distraction.

It was just the opposite on the Huskies sideline with Jimmy Lake antics. He wrote checks that his team can’t cash and it bit him in the behind.
