The bad luck continues for [autotag]Jared Scoggins[/autotag].
After his October promotional debut booking was canceled due to circumstances outside of his control, Scoggins (10-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) has withdrawn with his upcoming fight against [autotag]Magomed Magomedov[/autotag] at Bellator 255.
A person with knowledge of the withdrawal recently informed MMA Junkie of the change but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
Scoggins was supposed to make his promotional debut at Bellator 250 this past October, but his scheduled opponent, Toby Misech, missed weight and the fight was scrapped. En route to signing with Bellator, Scoggins, brother of former UFC fighter Justin Scoggins, won five straight fights and a CFFC title.
As for Magomedov (17-1 MMA, 1-0 BMMA), the former Absolute Championship Berkut champion made his promotional debut at Bellator 254 in December, when he defeated Matheus Mattos by unanimous decision.
With the change, the Bellator 255 lineup includes:
- Champion Patricio Freire vs. Emmanuel Sanchez – for Bellator featherweight title, grand prix semifinal
- Mike Hamel vs. Usman Nurmagomedov
- Neiman Gracie vs. Jason Jackson
- Tyrell Fortune vs. Matt Mitrione
- Magomed Magomedov vs. TBA
- Alejandra Lara vs. Kana Watanabe
- Manel Nallo vs. TBA
- Mads Burnell vs. Saul Rogers
- Chris Gonzalez vs. Roger Huerta
- Roman Faraldo vs. Trevor Gudde
