Florida football extended a scholarship offer to three-star offensive lineman [autotag]Tyler Miller[/autotag] out of Laurel (Mississippi) on Thursday following a text exchange between him and Gators offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Rob Sale.
The 6-foot-7-inch, 340-pound behemoth caught the eye of Sale, who seems to see something in the high school junior beyond his massive size.
“(Sale) talked about how he liked my film and was asking if I was ready to get to work,” Miller told Swamp247’s Donovan Keiser. “He loves my size and ability.”
However, the coveted lineman still has a lot of catching up to do with the Orange and Blue.
“I don’t know a lot, but I know some good football players went there like Tim Tebow,” Miller admitted. “I don’t really know as much but I’ve been watching them since I was young.”
The Magnolia State product has his eyes on the Southeastern Conference for his collegiate destination, with four schools in particular on his tentative itinerary. However, no specific dates have been set yet.
“We’re planning to go to Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Florida and Missouri.”
Miller is ranked No. 40 at his position nationally and No. 10 in his state according to 247Sports with no other services offering numbers for him. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine favors MSU with a 19.5% chance of signing him, followed by Ole Miss (17.1%), Auburn (14.6%) and Memphis (12.2%)
