With Mat Ishbia recently buying the Phoenix Suns, there has been a recent trend of Michigan State basketball alumni buying professional sports teams. While he’s no rookie at owning sports teams, Spartan legend Magic Johnson is keeping that recent trend going, as he is set to join the ownership group that just agreed to purchase the Washington Commanders from Dan Snyder.
The group, which will buy the team for $6-billion, is led by 76ers managing partner Josh Harris. This will be the highest price ever paid for a sports team.
