The Arizona Cardinals have a big game on the road against a division foe in Week 6. They take on the Seattle Seahawks. Both teams are 2-3.
A simulation of the divisional matchup on Madden NFL 23 had the Cardinals winning big. Kyler Murray three four touchdown passes, rookie running back Keaontay Ingram rushed for two touchdowns and the defense intercepted Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith twice, en route to a 45-17 victory.
Things started off with a Marco Wilson interception on the Seahawks’ first drive. The Cardinals settled on a field goal from Matt Ammendola to take a 3-0 lead.
The Seahawks tied it with a 57-yard field goal.
On the Cardinals’ next drive, Murray threw a seven-yard touchdown pass to Marquise Brown and then the defense forced Seattle to punt.
The Cardinals went down and scored on a nine-yard touchdown pass to A.J. Green, but the extra point was blocked and the Seahawks responded with a five-yard touchdown run from rookie Ken Walker.
The Cardinals got into field goal range and Murray was picked off by Sidney Jones. The Seahawks answered with Walker’s second touchdown of the game, a one-yard run, and took the lead.
Those were the last points they scored.
After forcing the Cardinals to punt, they missed a 45-yard field goal and, two plays later, Murray connected with Greg Dortch for a 39-yard touchdown to make it 23-17.
After halftime, the Cardinals scored on their first drive, with Murray throwing his fourth touchdown pass of the game, a 17-yarder to Brown. Murray ran in the two-point conversion to make it 31-17.
Seattle got into field-goal range but went for it on fourth down and the Cardinals stopped them.
They made it 38-17 with a two-yard touchdown run from Keaontay Ingram.
Both teams turned it over on downs on their next possessions and then the Seahawks turned it over on an interception by Antonio Hamilton.
Ingram scored for the second time on a three-yard run.
The Seahawks turned the ball over on downs and the Cardinals ran out the clock.
Murray was 25-for-38 passing for 323 yards, four touchdowns and an interception. Geno Smith was 21-for-40 passing for 241 yards and two picks.
Ingram was the Cardinals’ leading rusher with 52 yards and two scored on 13 carries. Eno Benjamin rushed six times for 25 yards.
Ken Walker had 39 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries for the Seahawks.
Arizona’s defense held Tyler Lockett to two catches for 21 yards and DK Metcalf to three for 44. Tight end Noah Fant led the Seahawks with nine catches for 92 yards and Marquise Goodwin had seven for 95.
Zach Ertz had seven receptions for 74 yards, Brown had six for 80 and two scores. Rondale Moore had four for 33, Dortch had three for 77 and the touchdown and Green had three for 44 and a score.
Zach Allen and J.J. Watt each had a sack for the Cardinals.
