Madden 22, the latest annual installment of the juggernaut football franchise, will reveal its cover for this year’s game on Thursday.
In an attempt to hype up the event, EA Sports tossed out a teaser video featuring two goats.
Naturally, speculation has leaned toward Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady after his feats this past year with a new team. Brady was already on the cover of Madden 18, but that probably wouldn’t prevent a second appearance.
This year at least, don’t expect to see any members of the Cincinnati Bengals in contention for the cover unless the hints are a hard swerve and the game decides to showcase up-and-comers like a Joe Burrow or Justin Herbert.
But over the next few years? Maybe Burrow can elbow his way into the conversation.
Even former cover athlete @thepeytonhillis didn’t see this coming…
