“Madden” ratings are a hot topic each and every year when they’re released, stirring up debate and controversy among the players themselves, as well as fans on social media. This year’s rollout has been slower than usual due to the coronavirus pandemic wiping most other sports news off the map, creating even more discussion about the numbers.
On Thursday, EA Sports revealed its “Madden NFL 21” ratings for the game’s top 10 cornerbacks and to no one’s surprise, Jalen Ramsey was in that group. In fact, he’s the game’s second-best cornerback at 94 overall – behind only Patriots corner Stephon Gilmore, who has a 99 overall rating.

Ramsey’s complete player ratings haven’t yet been released, but some important traits are now available. He has the sixth-best play recognition rating (91) and the second-best man coverage rating (95). Gilmore is No. 1 in man coverage, once again at 99.
Ramsey isn’t one of the 10 fastest cornerbacks in the game, having a rating in that department below a 94. Donte Jackson of the Panthers takes the crown with a 96 speed rating, followed by Denzel Ward (95).
