Madden Iamaleava makes massive jump in 2025 recruiting rankings

Madden Iamaleava moving up.

After committing to UCLA, the potential future-starting quarterback for the Bruins took a giant leap in the recruiting rankings. Madden Iamaleava, a four-star quarterback recruit, committed to the Bruins earlier this month.

The dual-threat quarterback jumped a whopping 73 spots on the Rivals 2025 College Football Prospect Recruit rankings. Going from 151 to 78, Iamaleava now ranks in the top 100 for the class of 2025.

The move is good for the Bruins in several ways. On top of Iamaleava getting the credit he deserves, it likely impacts the Bruins’ overall strength of recruiting class and makes Westwood a more desirable destination. Given their recent tries at recruiting other four and five-star players, Iamaleava could be a linchpin for other recruits to commit.

Despite the Bruins getting killed in rankings as of late, they have an opportunity with the 2025 recruiting class to change the narrative. Moreover, a good season for first-year head coach DeShaun Foster could continue to push the Bruins to the forefront of college football’s up-and-coming programs.
