The famed Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, one of the most iconic moments of the holiday season, will host a performance from the Rutgers University marching band. It is the first-ever appearance of the band in the historic parade.
- When: Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 23) from 8:30 a.m. to noon
- How to watch: The parade will be broadcast on NBC and streamed on Peacock
If you missed Rutgers marching live, don’t worry! There will be a rebroadcast of the parade in a shortened form from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Rutgers is one of 11 marching bands that will be performing at the Macy’s parade. The parade went mainstream as a central part of the plot for the original 1947 movie Miracle on 34th Street.
On Monday during his weekly press conference, Rutgers football head coach Greg Schiano gave the band a shoutout.
