Browns linebacker Mack Wilson got some good news on his hyperextended left knee on Sunday. Wilson in turn gave some good news to the Browns fans clamoring for his comeback.
ESPN reports that Wilson’s injured knee, suffered in practice two weeks ago, will not need surgery. As a result, the second-year LB from Alabama should be back on the field in about four weeks. It’s a four-to-six week injury and Wilson has already had two weeks of rest and rehabilitation. Cleveland kicks off the season on Sept. 13th in Baltimore, which means Wilson could miss as few as two games.
The fan-friendly linebacker quickly posted some encouraging messages to his social media feeds.
It’s very encouraging news for the Browns linebacking corps and Wilson, who is expected to seize a bigger role in his second year in Cleveland.
