Mac Jones: “My life is football”

Mac Jones met with the media on Wednesday and talked about how he has always been looking to improve, dating back to Pop Warner.

Much has been made of the off-season approach from New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones, as he looks ahead to his second year in the NFL. Meeting with the media at the start of training camp Wednesday, Jones added to the discussion, stating that “my life is football.”

Jones also drew on his younger days in the game, highlighting how in his mind he is always looking to improve.  “I’ve always tried to do that. As a little kid in Pop Warner: ‘What did I do bad last year that I could do better? All right, let’s work on it in the offseason.’ So it’s that simple.”

The young passer’s comments come in the wake of high praise from his head coach. Addressing the media as training camp opened on Tuesday, Bill Belichick declared that he had seen “dramatic improvement” from Jones over the course of the off-season.

No word, however, if Jones is a Ted Lasso fan:
