Mac Jones has big plans to improve this offseason, and one of his goals is hilariously relatable

The Patriots’ potential in 2022 will rest largely on his shoulders after his promising NFL debut.

New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones is well-aware that he has plenty of work to do during the 2022 offseason after a solid rookie year — which, admittedly, had a fairly rough conclusion with a blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills in the playoffs.

During an interview with ESPN before the Pro Bowl, Jones revealed some of the things he has on his mind this offseason. One of those goals is enormously relatable. He wants to eat cleaner.

“I like ice cream too much,” Jones said. “Like a lot of people.”

On a more serious note, Jones spoke about how he hoped for “big changes” during the offseason. He said he intends to get bigger and stronger. He’ll also work on his throwing mechanics. He will work to gain more command over the offense and the playbook.

“I have a lot of time now to kind of digest everything and kind of take it over how I want to do it,” Jones told ESPN.

Jones finished his rookie season with 3,801 yards, 22 passing touchdowns and 13 interceptions. New England’s potential in 2022 will rest largely on his shoulders after his promising NFL debut.
