Diamond Heels’ third baseman [autotag]Mac Horvath[/autotag] has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Player of the Week.
Horvath has played amazing as of late, using his bat to swing North Carolina to a 3-1 record last week, including a series win over Virginia Tech. Horvath’s hitting was on full display in the four games, with 19 runs thanks to a grand slam and three separate three-run homers. The four games were historic for Horvath, becoming the first Tar Heel in UNC history with 19 RBIs in a four-game span.
The week was full of highlights for Horvath, and it is a no-shocker that he enters this week with such an honor.

The Junior is 11th in the nation for home runs (19) and is 25th in total RBIs (56). Horvath already has three more RBIs than he did all last season and is currently at his career high for HRs in a season.
The Diamond Heels will return on Tuesday to host the Campbell Fighting Camels for Teacher Appreciation Night.
