If you thought it was a headache to tackle Derrick Henry last season, imagine how many aspirins opposing defenses will need when Henry has the 6-foot-6, 350-pound Isaiah Wilson from Georgia grading roads for Henry to roam on the right side. The Titans also added a few great value picks. Picks:
Rd. 1 – Isaiah Wilson, OT, Georgia | Rd. 2 – Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU | Rd. 3 – Darrynton Evans, RB, Appalachian St. | Rd. 5 – Larrell Murchison, DL, NC St. | Rd. 7 – Cole McDonald, QB, Hawaii | Rd. 7 – Chris Jackson, DB, Marshall (Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports)
The Redskins’ new regime, led by head coach Ron Rivera in a personnel sense, came away with a few aces here and, overall, did a good job addressing a few areas of need.
Picks:
Rd. 1 – Chase Young, EDGE, Ohio State | Rd. 3 – Antonio Gibson, RB, Memphis | Rd. 4 – Saahdiq Charles, OT, LSU | Rd. 4 – Antonio Gandy-Golden, WR, Liberty | Rd. 5 – Keith Ismael, OL, San Diego St. | Rd. 5 – Khaleke Hudson, LB, Michigan | Rd. 7 – Kamren Curl, S, Arkansas | James Smith-Williams, DE, NC St.

Tampa Bay did an excellent job addressing needs in this raft, especially when it comes to protecting Tom Brady’s vulnerability to interior pressure.
Picks:
Rd. 1 – Tristan Wirfs, OT, Iowa | Rd. 2 – Antoine Winfield Jr., S, Minnesota | Rd. 3 – Ke’Shawn Vaughn, RB, Vanderbilt | Rd. 5 – Tyler Johnson, WR, Minnesota | Rd. 6 – Khalil Davis, DL, Nebraska | Rd. 7 – Chapelle Russell, LB, Temple | Rd. 7 – Raymond Calais, RB, Louisiana-Lafayette

If you had Texas Tech linebacker Jordyn Brooks as a first-round guy and your name isn’t Pete Carroll or John Schneider, raise your hand? It’s an interesting gambit for a team with Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright on their roster, but remember that the Seahawks played a three-linebacker base more than any other team. Picks:
Rd. 1 – Jordyn Brooks, LB, Texas Tech | Rd. 2 – Darrell Taylor, EDGE, Tennessee | Rd. 3 – Damien Lewis, G, LSU | Rd. 4 – Colby Parkinson, TE, Stanford | Rd. 4 – DeeJay Dallas, RB, Miami (Fla.) | Rd. 5 – Alton Robinson, DE, Syracuse | Rd. 6 – Freddie Swain, WR, Florida | Rd. 7 – Stephen Sullivan, TE, LSU (AP Photo/Rick Scuteri)
The 49ers made a big splash on the third day of the draft by trading for Trent Williams, but they also put together an estimable 1-2 punch at the top of their draft. Picks:
Rd. 1 – Javon Kinlaw, DT, South Carolina | Rd. 1 – Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona St. | Rd. 5 – Colton McKivitz, OT, West Virginia | Rd. 6 – Charlie Woerner, TE, Georgia | Rd. 7 – Jauan Jennings, WR, Tennessee (AP Photo/Sean Rayford)
Pittsburgh didn’t address its cornerback needs in a very deep class, but watch out for third-round edge-rusher Alex Highsmith from Charlotte—a sleeper at his position who could be a force with his agility in the Steelers’ nickel fronts. Picks:
Rd. 2 – Chase Claypool, WR, Notre Dame | Rd. 3 – Alex Highsmith, EDGE, Charlotte | Rd. 4 – Anthony McFarland Jr., RB, Maryland | Rd. 4 – Kevin Dotson, G, Louisiana-Lafayette | Rd. 6 – Antoine Brooks Jr., S, Maryland | Rd. 7 – Carlos Davis, DL, Nebraska

What’s that we said about Al Davis smiling down from above? Not a bad draft haul for GM Mike Mayock and head coach Jon Gruden.
Picks:
Rd. 1 – Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama | Rd. 1 – Damon Arnette, CB, Ohio St. | Rd. 3 – Lynn Bowden, WR/RB, Kentucky | Rd. 3 – Bryan Edwards, WR, South Carolina | Rd. 3 – Tanner Muse, LB, Clemson | Rd. 4 – John Simpson, G, Clemson | Rd. 4 – Amik Robertson, CB, Louisiana Tech

The Jets have had more than their share of inept personnel men, but if the 2020 draft is any indication, the franchise is in very good hands with Joe Douglas. Picks:
Rd. 1 – Mekhi Becton, OT, Louisville | Rd. 2 – Denzel Mims, WR, Baylor | Rd. 3 – Ashtyn Davis, S, Cal | Rd. 3 – Jabari Zuniga, EDGE, Florida | Rd. 4 – La’Mical Perine, RB, Florida | Rd. 4 – James Morgan, QB, FIU | Rd. 4 – Cameron Clark, OT, Charlotte | Rd. 5 – Bryce Hall, CB, Virginia | Rd. 6 – Braden Mann, P, Texas AM (AP Photo/Timothy D. One never knows exactly what Giants general manager Dave Gettleman is going to do, least of all Gettleman himself. But the typically atypical Gettleman nailed the Giants’ first two picks. Picks:
Rd. 1 – Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia | Rd. 2 – Xavier McKinney, S, Alabama | Rd. 3 – Matt Peart, OT, UConn | Rd. 4 – Darnay Holmes, CB, UCLA | Rd. 5 – Shane Lemieux, G, Oregon | Rd. 6 – Cam Brown, LB, Penn St. | Rd. 7 – Carter Coughlin, Minnesota | Rd. 7 – T.J. Brunson, LB, South Carolina | Rd. 7 – Chris Williamson, CB, Minnesota | Rd. 7 – Tae Crowder, LB, Georgia (Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports)
Trading Stefon Diggs to Buffalo and losing most of their cornerbacks in free agency made the Vikings’ draft needs very clear, and they addressed both very well in the first round. Picks:
Rd. 1 – Justin Jefferson, WR, LSU | Jeff Gladney, CB, TCU | Rd. 2 – Ezra Cleveland, OT Boise St. | Rd. 3 – Cameron Dantzler, CB, Mississippi St. | Rd. 4 – D.J. The Dolphins decided to go on faith with Tua Tagovailoa’s hip inquiry, and if it all works out, they get a guy who could be equal parts Drew Brees and Russell Wilson, with an offensive coordinator in Chan Gailey who seems perfectly attuned to Tagovailoa’s future. So, the “Tank for Tua” thing worked out, even though the Dolphins didn’t tank as much as we expected. Picks:
Rd. 1 – Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama | Rd. 1 – Austin Jackson, OT, USC | Rd. 1 – Noah Igbinoghene, CB, Auburn | Rd. 2 – Robert Hunt, OL, Louisiana-Lafayette | Rd. 2 – Raekwon Davis, DL, Alabama | Rd. 3 – Brandon Jones, S, Texas | Rd. 4 – Solomon Kindley, G, Georgia | Rd. 5 – Jason Strowbridge, DL, North Carolina | Rd. 5 – Curtis Weaver, EDGE, Boise St. | Rd. 6 – Blake Ferguson, LS, LSU | Rd. 7 – Malcolm Perry, WR, Navy

The extent to which you’re on board with the Chargers’ draft strategy hands on whether you’re on board with Justin Herbert as an NFL prospect. Picks:
Rd. 1 – Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon | Rd. 1 – Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma | Rd. 4 – Joshua Kelley, RB, UCLA | Rd. 5 – Joe Reed, WR, Virginia | Rd. 6 – Alohi Gilman, S, Notre Dame | Rd. 7 – K.J. Hill, WR, Ohio State (Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports)
Good luck dealing with the Chiefs’ offense now. Andy Reid has always wanted versatile backs, and Edwards-Helaire has some aspects of Darren Sproles in his playing style, but he looks more like peak Ray Rice—without any of the off-field stuff. They also added an impressive tackle and upgraded the athleticism of their linebacker group.
Picks:
Rd. 1 – Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, LSU | Rd. 2 – Willie Gay, LB, Mississippi St. | Rd. 3 – Lucas Niang, OT, TCU | Rd. 4 – L’Jarius Sneed, DB, Louisiana Tech | Rd. 5 – Michael Danna, DE, Michigan | Rd. 7 – Thakarius Keyes, CB, Tulane (Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports)
With two first-round picks in 2020, and a front office seemingly fixated on a rebuilding plan that has nearly every important player on the roster out the door in one way or another, the Jaguars had to nail their 2020 draft.
Picks:
Rd. 1 – C.J. Henderson, CB, Florida | Rd. 1 – K’Lavon Chaisson, DE/OLB, LSU | Rd. 2 – Laviska Shenault, WR, Colorado | Rd. 3 – Davon Hamilton, DT, Ohio State | Rd. 4 – Ben Bartch, OT, Saint John’s (Minn.) | Rd. 4 – Josiah Scott, CB, Michigan St. | Rd. 4 – Shaquille Quarterman, LB, Miami (Fla.) | Rd. 5 – Daniel Thomas, S, Auburn | Rd. 5 – Collin Johnson, WR, Texas | Rd. 6 – Jake Luton, QB, Oregon State | Rd. 6 – Tyler Davis, TE, Georgia Tech | Rd. 7 – Chris Claybrooks, CB, Memphis (Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports)
This grade is based less on the quality of the players the Packers picked up than it is an indictment of the overall philosophy. Last season, Green Bay went 13-3 with a receiver group that had very little going for it beyond Davante Adams, and general manager Brian Gutekunst and head coach Matt LaFleur didn’t take a single receiver in what was one of the deepest drafts at that position in NFL history.
Picks:
Rd. 1 – Jordan Love, QB, Utah St. | Rd. 2 – A.J. Dillion, RB, Boston College | Rd. 3 – Josiah Deguara, TE, Cincinnati | Rd. 5 – Kamal Martin, LB, Minnesota | Rd. 6 – Jon Runyan, G, Michigan | Rd .6 – Jake Hanson, C, Oregon | Rd. 6 – Simon Stepaniak, OT, Indiana | Rd. 7 – Vernon Scott, S, TCU | Rd. 7 – Jonathan Garvin, DE, Miami (Vasha Hunt-USA TODAY Sports)
Only the Patriots played a higher percentage of man coverage snaps than the Lions last season, so it made all the sense in the world that Detroit would go with Ohio State cornerback Jeff Okudah with the third overall pick. Picks:
Rd. 1 – Jeff Okudah, CB, Ohio St. | Rd. 2 – D’Andre Swift, RB, Georgia | Rd. 3 – Jonah Jackson, G, Ohio St. | Rd. 3 – Julian Okwara, OLB, Notre Dame | Rd. 4 – Logan Stenberg, G, Kentucky | Rd. 5 – Quintez Cephus, WR, Wisconsin | Rd. 5 – Jason Huntley, RB, New Mexico St. | Rd. 6 – John Penisini, DT, Utah | Rd. 7 – Jashon Cornell, DT, Ohio St. (Joe Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports)
