Lu Dort starts nonprofit Maizon Dort Foundation that helps out underprivileged youths

This will impact youths in Montreal, Oklahoma City and Arizona.

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Lu Dort recently went back to his roots and announced the launching of the Maizon Dort Foundation, a nonprofit organization that will help underprivileged youths from Montreal, Oklahoma City and central Arizona.

The organization will focus on promoting the health and well-being of youths. It will focus on providing opportunities for children to be included in team activities in sports such as basketball and soccer, which Dort loved playing growing up as a child.

Dort grew up in Montreal, Canada, and spent his college years at Arizona State. Dort signed with the Thunder following the 2019 NBA draft and has been with the team since. He recently signed a five-year, $87.5 million deal.
