Last week against Auburn, veteran linebacker Spencer Eason-Riddle tore his ACL for the second straight season. He is out for the year and played a big role in the Gamecocks’ special teams unit. On defense, he had just two tackles this season.
The loss of Eason-Riddle for the Gamecocks could loom large on Saturday in special teams. LSU has quick returners, and South Carolina is now without one of its best tacklers.
