While LSU enters the 2024 season with a sense of optimism, it has a lot of questions to answer with departing production all over the field.
However, one area where it should be very confident in what it has is the offensive line, which returns four of five returning starters and is anchored by a pair of potential first-round tackles.
The star is [autotag]Will Campbell[/autotag], who enters his junior season and third year as a starter. The left tackle is seen as a top draft prospect and potential top-five pick in 2025, and it should be no surprise that in On3’s preseason SEC player rankings, he comes in at No. 2 behind only Tennessee’s James Pearce Jr., who is receiving first overall pick hype.
The 6-6, 325-pound junior stands to be in the conversation for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, as Campbell is arguably the top left tackle playing on Saturdays. A starter since Day 1 as a freshman, Campbell has developed from a former blue-chip recruit to the anchor of LSU’s terrific offensive line.
Campbell has already proven himself to be one of the SEC’s best tackles, and if he stays healthy in what will likely be his final year at LSU, he could be one of the nation’s best, as well.
