With former LSU running back [autotag]Clyde Edwards-Helaire[/autotag] and the Kansas City Chiefs set to face off against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday in Super Bowl LVII, the Tigers’ record-setting streak of former players appearing in the Super Bowl extends to 22 straight years.
That mark is tied with Georgia.
Edwards-Helaire hasn’t played in a game for the Chiefs since November, when he was placed on injured reserve, and he has largely been supplanted in the offense recently by Isiah Pacheco. However, he was activated for the Super Bowl and will play a role for Kansas City.
The NFL talent LSU has produced is practically unmatched, and this streak is a good example of how dominant this program’s alumni have been at the next level.
