LSU’s offensive keys to the game against Missouri

As No. 17 LSU heads to Columbia, the offense must continue its success to defeat Missouri.

Continue success in backfield

In 2020, LSU has a total of 241 rushing yards on 70 attempts with a 3.4 average per carry. Emery Jr. carried the way in the backfield with Chris Curry absent due to illness.

With Curry back this week, that gives the Tigers their main rusher back against a Missouri team that allows 171.5 rushing yards per game.

Between Curry and Emery Jr., LSU should go above that allowed average this week. Add in Tyrion Davis-Price to the mix, and the LSU ground game alone could force Missouri into unwanted situations on defense.
