The LSU Tigers have some fixing to do after dropping 45-41 to the Missouri Tigers on Saturday, and faces a tough task as they look to avoid going 1-3 as they take on the Florida Gators on the road this week.
Head coach Ed Orgeron addressed a host of topics surrounding the team, its latest matchup and the upcoming game when he fielded questions from reporters on Monday.
Orgeron was impressed with the showing by redshirt junior quarterback Myles Brennan, who complete 29-of-48 passes for 430 yards and four touchdowns. Saturday marked his first game of the season without an interception.
Ed Orgeron says he's "very impressed" with Myles Brennan, who will not practice today. He's sore and will return to practice tomorrow. #LSU

Ed Orgeron on Myles Brennan: "He's playing as good as I hoped he would. I always believed in Myles. I knew he had some stuff to get better at."
Says he's the first one he sees in the building every day.

The LSU defense has obviously not performed to standard under new defensive coordinator Bo Pelini, and Orgeron said he’s expressed that the defense could be made simpler if needed.
The unit allowed 585 yards from the Missouri offense as Connor Bazelak went 29-for-34 passing for 406 yards and four touchdowns with no turnovers.
Ed Orgeron says he told Bo Pelini and the defensive coaches to make the defense simpler if need be.
"I don't care if we have to play one defense or one coverage." #LSU

Simply put, LSU must get better overall.
Ed Orgeron: "When you look at the film, it's not the other team that beat us. We beat ourselves." #LSU

On the injury front, Orgeron added that star cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. sprained his ankle during the loss to Mizzou, but stayed in the game.
"(Derek Stingley Jr.) sprained his ankle on the down marker coming off the field… after that, he was playing on a sprained ankle. He didn't look the same, but that was the reason why."
Says some people would've left the game. But he wanted to play.
