LSU-Auburn: Defensive keys to an LSU victory

As LSU faces Auburn on Saturday, the Tigers defense looks to continue the success it had last week against South Carolina.

Stop the run

Statistically speaking in 2020, LSU is not great at stopping the run. With the exception of the Mississippi State game, the Tigers are giving up well over 100 rushing yards per game. In fact, the team is allowing 127.8 rushing yards per game.

Auburn averages 164 on the ground, which could mean trouble for LSU. Tank Bigsby is a talented freshman running back for Auburn who has the ability to go north-south in an instant.

If LSU can stop the run, that would force Bo Nix to have to step up and beat the Tigers in the passing game.
