LSU WR Kayshon Boutte skips testing at pro day

Kayshon Boutte is trying to establish himself as a first-round pick.

On Wednesday, LSU held its annual pro day ahead of the 2023 NFL draft. One LSU prospect who really needed to perform well to make up for a subpar combine was wide receiver Kayshon Boutte.

However, Boutte didn’t do any testing on his pro day and instead chose to stand on his rather mediocre testing numbers from the combine. Instead, Boutte chose to stand on his 4.50 40-yard dash, 29″ vertical and 9’10” broad jump as recorded during the combine.

Boutte did go through drills and looks quick and smooth in his routes. Boutte is hoping to re-establish himself with players like Josh Downs and Zay Flowers as one of those fringe first-round prospects hoping to sneak in at the end of the round.

In 2022, Boutte played 11 games and hauled in 48 passes for 538 yards. Boutte has seen his production drop each year since he was a freshman and caught 45 passes for an elite 735 yards.
