LSU WR commit expected to follow Bryce Underwood to Michigan

Is LSU going to lose another top prospect to Michigan?

Former LSU football QB prospect Bryce Underwood flipped his pledge to Michigan on Thursday night. Underwood, a Michigan native, is the No. 1 overall prospect in the class of 2025. It’s a massive hit for LSU as the Wolverines get a program-defining prospect.

Underwood won’t be the last LSU to Michigan flip this cycle. According to reports, four-star WR Derek Meadows is set to follow.

Per 247Sports, Meadows is a top 50 overall prospect and No. 7 WR in the class—the On3 Industry Rankings slate Meadows 15th at his position.

LSU swung and missed at a few of the top receivers in the class. Five-star Dakorien Moore was once committed to LSU before flipping to Oregon. The Tigers were involved with Kaliq Lockett and Jamie Ffrench too. That didn’t work out for LSU and the Tigers turned their attention to Meadows.

Now, receiver again becomes a need in the class, but there won’t be many prospects left on the board.

Meadows will be the third flip in recent days for LSU. The Tigers lost four-star offensive lineman Devin Harper to Ole Miss before the Underwood news later in the week.

LSU’s class ranks top 10 nationally, but it won’t be as loaded as fans once hoped.
