Fresh off an Elite Eight loss to Iowa that ended LSU women’s basketball’s season, coach Kim Mulkey is already turning her attention to the future.
On Tuesday, the Tigers landed their first commitment in the 2025 cycle from Eldorado, New Mexico, guard Bella Hines. A four-star recruit and the top player in the state of New Mexico, Hines is the No. 31 player nationally in the 2025 class, per ESPN.
Hines was recently in Baton Rouge for a visit, where she was in attendance for the Tigers’ first two wins in the NCAA tournament at home against Rice and Middle Tennessee. Clearly, what she saw on the trip was enough to solidify her decision.

We’re still quite early in the 2025 cycle, but Hines provides a nice building block for the class as Mulkey will look to flesh it out in the coming months.
