Well, that was ugly.
For the opposing team, at least. LSU dominated ULM 101-39 (the 62 point win tied for fourth-largest margin of victory in program history) in one of the more impressive season openers across college basketball, if not statiscially the most impressive.
However, this outcome was somewhat expected. ULM was coming off of a 9-17 year where they had major issues scoring the basketball. Against LSU’s pace and athleticism, the Warhawks seemingly had no hope.
This was a much needed explosion on both ends of the floor for an LSU team that is dealing with some outside pressure, specifically on its head coach.
