Both of these quarterbacks we will see this weekend have had some statistical success.
However, when you turn on the tape, it begins to become clear which of these two signal-callers has the advantage in this matchup.
KJ Jefferson has been piloting an Arkansas squad that has overachieved relative to preseason standards this season, and a lot of that success has been because of his play.
Max Johnson has statistically benefitted from an offense that likes to throw the football. Even then, his numbers don’t blow you out of the water.

Edge: KJ Jefferson
Jefferson has been the more efficient quarterback by far this season. Not only has he been a more accurate passer than Max Johnson, but he’s also been more dynamic with the football. Jefferson has 443 rushing yards (4.7 ypc) and five touchdowns, something that could hurt this LSU defense.
Johnson, much like this past weekend, will need to have a very solid game in order for LSU to defeat Arkansas. He hasn’t shown the ability to do that very often this season.
