LSU true freshman linebacker inks NIL deal

Harold Perkins has signed what should be the first of many NIL deals.

True freshman LSU linebacker [autotag]Harold Perkins[/autotag] announced recently that he has signed an NIL deal with getGordon. GetGordon is a law firm that specializes in personal injury suits in Louisiana.

Perkins was a five-star recruit coming out of high school in Cypress, Texas, the only one in Brian Kelly’s transitional 2022 recruiting class. He was a summer enrollee and is primed to make a big impact for the Tigers, even as a freshman.

“Everyone is talking about Harold Perkins,” attorney Gordon McKernan said, per On3. “The extent of his defensive talent as a freshman is a sure sign that he’s destined for success. I’m thankful that the Tigers brought him back to Louisiana. It’s a win for Perkins, a win for the Tigers, and a win for me to be able to partner with such a talented young player.”

This is the first NIL deal Perkins has signed, but I highly doubt it will be his last. There are some players that have gotten seven figures out of NIL deal. If he has an amazing season this fall, he could find himself with that kind of money as well.
