As great as Friday was for the Arkansas baseball team against LSU, Saturday was the opposite.
The No. 3 Diamond Hogs lost the opener of a doubleheader via run-rule, then, in the late game, top-ranked LSU took the series, 14-5. Every game of the weekend featured the winning team scoring in double digits.

Arkansas’ pitching issues cropped up again. Cody Adcock, Zack Morris and Evan Carter combined to pitch the first five innings in the finale. The Tigers lineup racked up all 14 runs against them via 10 hits, three of which were home runs.
The Razorbacks were hanging tough until fourth. Jared Wegner hit a two-run home run in the first and Caleb Cali hit a two-run double in the third. Each time LSU answered with two runs of its own in the bottom half of the frame.
LSU broke things open with six runs in the fourth and then another four in the sixth. Tommy White had the best day among Tigers hitters, clubbing two homers and collecting seven RBI.
Arkansas will get a chance to warm back up Tuesday when Nebraska-Omaha visits Fayetteville. Pitch time is 6 p.m.
