A Saturday Night in Death Valley is among the best environments in sports. More often than not, LSU fans come close to filling up the 100,000+ seats in Tiger Stadium.
Expect more of the same in 2024 with LSU selling out of season ticket allotment of 71,250. According to Brett McMurphy, LSU crossed the 70,000 threshold for the sixth time in nine years.
Tiger Stadium holds 102,321 people, making it No. 7 on the world’s largest stadiums list. It will have a new look this year with a video board upgrade in the end zone.
Teams have put more effort into stadium experience in recent years as programs work harder to compete with the comfort of TV. For the most part, LSU’s held up but the school has still put effort into upping Tiger Stadium.
It will also be the debut season for purple LED lights. The LED lights craze took the SEC by storm in recent years after installations at Alabama and Georgia. Now, LSU joins the party.
LSU has sold out its allotment of 71,250 season tickets, its most since 2017. LSU has sold at least 70,000 season tickets 6 times in last 9 years
