While LSU looks to complete its 2024 class, the quarterback spot isn’t much of a concern. [autotag]Colin Hurley[/autotag] has long been committed and seems about as solid as can be.
Hurley was originally a 2025 prospect, and his reclassifying opened the door for LSU to take another in next year’s cycle. Potentially, one of the top quarterbacks on the board.
Five-star prospect [autotag]George MacIntyre[/autotag] from Brentwood Academy in Nashville ranks as the No. 2 passer and No. 12 overall prospect in 2025, according to the 247Sports Composite. He visited LSU this summer alongside a number of other trips to blue-blood programs.
The Tigers have caught his attention, however. Quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan has told him LSU is keeping its QB offer list small in hopes of landing him, according to On3’s Shea Dixon (subscription required), and he intends to take another trip during the season, possibly for the Arkansas game on Sept. 3.
It wouldn’t be MacIntyre’s first trip to Tiger Stadium as he was on hand for the upset win over Alabama last fall.
LSU currently has just two commits in the 2025 class and will hope to add a momentum-shifting one in MacIntyre. There’s no clear leader per On3, with Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Alabama and LSU fairly close together on the Recruiting Prediction Machine.
