LSU and Brian Kelly brought back secondary coach Corey Raymond with the hope of landing fire-star defensive backs. LSU used to put out first-round corners almost every year, but that’s trailed off lately as Kelly struggled to fill that room when he arrived.
Raymond’s first class is shaping up to be a good one. The Tigers have a five-star on board with DJ Pickett. Raymond isn’t stopping there, though. LSU will host another five-star corner this weekend when Alabama comes to town.
Ohio State commit Na’eem Offord will be in town. According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Offord is the No. 10 overall prospect in the country. ESPN slots Offord as the best corner in the class.
Offord flipping to LSU is unlikely, but it doesn’t hurt to have a player of his caliber on campus, especially with the environment LSU is expecting on Saturday night.
LSU already has three five-stars committed in its 2025 class. QB Bryce Underwood, the top prospect in the country, leads the way. He’s joined by Pickett and RB Harlem Berry.
LSU is also hoping to add five-star EDGE Jahkeem Stewart to the class.
