LSU QB Peter Parrish enters NCAA transfer portal

Parrish entered his name into the portal over the weekend.

Former LSU quarterback Peter Parrish’s time in Baton Rouge appears to be over after he entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal over the weekend.

Before spring practice was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, LSU had starting quarterback Myles Brennan and a pair of true freshmen, Max Johnson and TJ Finley, who had just enrolled in January, as the only scholarship quarterbacks participating in practice.

Parrish, a rising redshirt freshman, did not participate.

Head coach Ed Orgeron later revealed Parrish did not participate because he was suspended for a violation of team rules.

While the news around Parrish was quiet in recent months, he was no longer listed on the official roster in early-July and it was apparent he and the school parted ways.

A four-star recruit in the class of 2019, Parrish was ranked as the No. 11 dual-threat quarterback in his country. He redshirted in 2019.

Parrish is the second former Tiger to enter the transfer portal in recent days, following senior tight end Jamal Pettigrew.
