LSU starting quarterback Myles Brennan will miss yet another week as coach Ed Orgeron announced Monday that the signal-caller would not be taking the field against Alabama.
He also said it’s on the table for him to miss the remainder of the season.
“We’re still discussing that,” he told reporters on a conference call.
“He tried to practice today,” Orgeron said on his weekly radio show last Wednesday. “He practiced a little bit. It wasn’t very good. It was hurting. So we’re going to see again tomorrow and see how much he can practice next week. Right now, I’d have to say he’s very doubtful the way it is.”
Brennan has been in the process of recovering from a significant lower-body injury that’s kept him sidelined since after the Missouri game.
Orgeron has mentioned competition between quarterbacks TJ Finley and Max Johnson, who have both seen the field to this point of the season, for the starting gig for cases in which Brennan can’t take the field.
Considering that Orgeron has also mentioned moving other players to the quarterback position, it will be interesting to see how things shuffle around within the roster ahead of Saturday’s matchup against the Crimson Tide.
