The LSU Tigers suffered a bit of a scare last week when several offensive linemen either tested positive for COVID-19 or had high-risk exposure to the virus.
Head coach Ed Orgeron met with reporters via Zoom and gave an update on his offensive line unit this week, and had some positive news in regards to the program moving forward.
Orgeron said the entire offensive line was back in practice on Monday.
“Our whole offensive line was back as far as I know yesterday. It was good to see them,” he said on the call. “As far as I know, the whole offensive line was back practicing. I’m not going to give up numbers. Here’s what happens, there’s going to be a couple guys that are going to be positive, maybe more, but there are some guys that are going to be around them so they had to get quarantined, just liked we did.”

This obviously gives reason for optimism for both the Tigers and college football as a whole as a host of teams prepare to start the season in the midst of some unprecedented circumstances.
LSU is already replacing several starters from last season’s national championship team and having to start fall camp down the majority of its offensive line wasn’t ideal.
The Tigers are set to open the 2020 season on Sept. 26 in Baton Rouge against Mississippi State.
