LSU’s 44-21 win over Nicholls on Saturday night wasn’t enough to answer all the questions we have about this team after its season-opening loss, but it was enough to move up in both polls this week.
The Tigers saw a two-spot rise to No. 17 in the US LBM Coaches Poll, and they saw the same rise in the AP Top 25, which both released on Sunday. LSU ranked No. 18 entering the week, and now, it will enter its SEC opener on the road against South Carolina as the No. 16 team in the country.
Eight SEC teams are ranked this week with LSU rounding out the group. Six of those teams are ranked with the top 10.
Here’s the full AP Top 25 after Week 2.
