One of the top remaining targets on LSU’s 2024 recruiting board trimmed his list down to four on Monday.
Four-star Marrerro (La.) John Ehret cornerback [autotag]Wardell Mack[/autotag] included LSU among his list of finalists. The No. 2 prospect in the state of Louisiana and No. 71 recruit nationally per the On3 Industry Rankings, landing a player of Mack’s caliber would be a huge boost for coach Brian Kelly’s class.
The Tigers are joined by Florida, Florida State and Texas in his final four.
LSU is expecting to host Mack in December for an official visit. He’s already officially visited his other three finalists, and he was on campus in an unofficial capacity for the Tigers’ spring game.

Texas holds three Crystal Balls for Mack on 247Sports, but LSU is a heavy favorite on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine at 78.5%.
Regardless of who’s actually in the lead, Mack’s recruitment isn’t likely to end any time soon, and Kelly and his staff will have to continue to push into the fall.
LSU currently has 18 commits in a 2024 class that ranks 10th nationally.
