LSU makes the cut for TE Trey’Dez Green’s top 5

Four of the five finalists for the dual-sport star are in the SEC.

The nation’s No. 3 tight end, [autotag]Trey’Dez Green[/autotag], has included LSU in his final five schools. His commitment date has been set for this Wednesday, April 26th.

The 6-foot-6, 225 tight end is one of the best pass catchers in the country. Per On3, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Miami round out his top five.  With four of his top five schools residing in the SEC, I would be surprised to see him land in the ACC at Miami.

With his physically dominant frame, fans can expect a player who can go up and grab a ball in traffic and overwhelm defensive backs. The offensive scheme should include plays designed specifically for him, intended to create mismatches with smaller corners.

LSU has plenty of hooks in the water and should expect a highly-ranked final recruiting class for this upcoming year.
