LSU legacy CJ Wiley commits to Florida State over Tigers, Georgia in stunner

We thought it was a two-team race for CJ Wiley between LSU and Georgia, but it was FSU that ultimately closed with him.

While it looked like we were shaping up for a two-man race between LSU and Georgia for Tigers legacy and Milton, Georgia, receiver [autotag]CJ Wiley[/autotag], the four-star prospect threw everyone a curveball on Tuesday.

Wiley, the son of former LSU and NFL defensive end [autotag]Chuck Wiley[/autotag], committed to the Florida State Seminoles, the third team in his list of finalists. FSU was not considered to be in the mix as much as the Bulldogs or Tigers, and Wiley told Sports Illustrated’s Zack Nagy that he made his decision the day of his commitment and didn’t communicate it with Seminoles coaches ahead of time.

Wiley, the No. 136 player nationally and No. 15 receiver, had received multiple crystal ball projections in favor of Georgia before making his decision.
