Brian Kelly and the LSU football recruiting staff are starting off July 4 with some fireworks of their own.

[autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] and the [autotag]LSU football recruiting[/autotag] staff are starting off July 4th with some fireworks of their own. This morning the Tigers landed a commitment from a four-star defensive lineman from Lufkin, Texas.

[autotag]Zion Williams[/autotag] is a 6-foot-4, 295-pound, four-star defensive lineman from Lufkin, Texas, where he plays for Lufkin High School. He chose the Tigers over Texas, TCU and Texas A&M. The Tigers were a 96% favorite to land him per On3 and they had received multiple crystal ball projections to land him. The only thing left was to seal the deal and Kelly and his staff did just that.

Williams becomes the 13th commitment of the 2025 recruiting class. The class is currently ranked as the No. 8 overall class by 247Sports and is headlined by five-star quarterback [autotag]Bryce Underwood[/autotag]. He is the first defensive lineman commitment of the class. The 2025 class keeps getting better and the Tigers are nowhere close to being done.
