One of the nation’s top-rated 2022 tight ends has narrowed his list of schools down to his top 10, and LSU is on that list.
Four-star tight end Jaleel Skinner tweeted Monday his top schools, but it’s undetermined if the list was in order of ranking. The other schools listed included Florida, Texas, Miami, Arizona State, Clemson, Alabama, Florida State, Oregon, and Oklahoma.
With such an extensive and prestigious list to choose from, LSU is in for a tough battle to land the 6-foot-5 junior from Greer, SC. 247Sports’ has Skinner ranked as the No. 3 tight end in the country, and he’s also rated as the No. 94 overall player in the 2022 class.
Now that schools are allowing visits, Skinner will make an official visit to Florida on June 9. He also has unofficial visits scheduled in June.

Skinner creates a mismatch on the field with his size, making him attractive for any offensive system, especially the LSU Tigers. Very seldom does an athlete with his size and athleticism at the tight end position come around, so the battle may very well be worth it.
LSU has done a fine job with offseason hires, especially on the offensive side of the football. There’s competition in the best of ways at positions like quarterback, and it will be interesting to see how the Tigers keep the momentum flowing moving forward.
