Football season may have a beginning and end date each year, but the recruiting game never stops.
LSU football head coach Ed Orgeron and his staff are known for their impeccable recruiting ability, but that doesn’t change the fact the Tigers still face heavy competition with certain prospects.
One of those prospects is Class of 2022 four-star wide receiver Evan Stewart out of Frisco, Texas.
Stewart is ranked as the No. 5 receiver in the nation and is considered the 37th-best overall player in the country.

While Stewart recently mentioned to media that LSU, Texas and Alabama were all schools that could challenge his pledge to Florida, the Gators very much still have the heavy advantage.
“Florida most definitely; they set the bar very high,” Stewart said in an article from 247Sports. “I really enjoyed my time there. I loved it there. Really, it’s what can beat Florida?”
Stewart also noted the appeal of Florida being a “national championship-winning program.”
Stewart is set to visit LSU, USC, Texas A&M and Texas before the end of June.

It seems that it will take quite a bit to pull Stewart from Florida, but landing a prospect like him could certainly help LSU uphold its reputation for consistently having some of the best pass-catchers in America.
