LSU hoops makes the cut for 4-star point guard Nyk Lewis

The top-50 national prospect officially visited Baton Rouge in June.

LSU men’s basketball is still trying to land its first 2025 commit, but coach Matt McMahon and staff have now made the cut for yet another top prospect in the cycle.

On Thursday, four-star point guard [autotag]Nyk Lewis[/autotag] trimmed his list down to six teams, and the Tigers are a finalist alongside Creighton, Xavier, Seton Hall, Michigan and Georgetown.

Lewis ranks as the No. 36 overall player nationally and the No. 5 point guard. The Washington, D.C., prospect officially visited LSU back in June, and there are no clear favorites for him with Seton Hall holding just a slight lead according to On3’s recruiting prediction machine.

LSU has had a slow start to the cycle, but a commitment from a top 50 prospect would certainly give it quite a bit of momentum.
