The LSU Tigers suffered a small outbreak of COVID-19 in recent days, meaning those players will be out for this weekend’s clash with Alabama.
LSU, which is facing a roster crunch this season due to NFL defections, opt-outs, transfers, etc., now could be in jeopardy of playing the Crimson Tide this weekend.

While the number of positive tests appears to be on the smaller slide with four confirmed, other players will be placed in quarantine that were exposed to the players tested positive.
LSU has already moved the Florida game to Dec. 12 due to the Gators suffering from their own COVID outbreak in October. Therefore, the options are limited to where the Alabama game can be moved.
The SEC championship game is scheduled for Dec. 19, with Alabama and Florida likely to meet.
Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated reported the outbreak stems from a party that occurred around Halloween after LSU’s loss to Auburn.
