LSU gymnast could capitalize in a big way on NIL

Dunne has a chance to cash in big with the NCAA ruling to allow athletes to make money off of their Name, Image and Likeness.

Olivia Dunne is more than just an LSU gymnast — she’s also a well-known social media personality with a large following.

Now that the NCAA has ruled to allow athletes to make money off of their Name, Image and Likeness, Dunne has the chance to capitalize on that.

According to Darren Rovell of Action Network, Dunne could be making more than $1 million, expected to cash in perhaps more than any other college athlete in the country except for Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler.

Dunne is understandably looking forward to the future with the move by the NCAA, tweeting “NIL rules change tomorrow… let’s get to work,” earlier this week.

The gymnast is highly interactive with a following of over 1.5 million on both Instagram and TikTok.

It will be interesting to watch how things shake out with the rule changes for Dunne and other LSU athletes, some of which have already begun to strike deals with companies.

Some of these athletes include cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. (Walk-Ons), quarterback Myles Brennan (Smoothie King and Smalls Sliders), offensive lineman Austin Deculus (Yoke Gaming) and wide receiver Kayshon Boutte (Yoke Gaming).
