LSU freshman named a standout for Week 3 by On3

Whit Weeks has appeared in all three games this season and has gotten better each week.

After an outstanding performance against Mississippi State on Saturday, [autotag]Whit Weeks[/autotag] was named a true freshman standout by Charles Power at On3.

Weeks got a lot of playing time at linebacker due to the injury to [autotag]Omar Speights[/autotag] that sidelined him. Weeks made the most of that opportunity as he led the team with eight tackles. Weeks was rated as a four-star linebacker in the 2023 recruiting class. He was ranked as the No. 98 player in the country, the No. 8 linebacker in the country and the No. 9 player from Georgia.

Weeks has appeared in all three games this season and has gotten better each week. He made four tackles against Grambling in week two before making eight tackles against Mississippi State this week. With no timeline on how long Speights will be out, head coach [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] has to be confident with the way his freshman linebacker is playing right now.
