LSU football knows what uniform it will play in against Baylor.
The Tigers, the home team for the Texas Bowl, will don white helmets and pants along with a purple top, according to an Instagram post from the team on Tuesday.
According to the post, the bowl designates the home team to wear dark colors, which explains the decision to go with the purple jerseys. Baylor, the away team, will wear white tops with yellow helmets and green pants.
The game on New Year’s Eve will mark the second time LSU wears this combination, the first coming in the regular season finale against Oklahoma. In Death Valley, the Tigers ended on a high note as they took down the Sooners 37-17.
In 2024, the team donned a total of six different uniform combinations. The purple top made two appearances, the first coming against UCLA. The most often combination was its classic white top with yellow helmets and pants, which was worn five times.
